My first post

As some of you know, I recently came back from a church mission trip to New Orleans. We spend a week doing drywall, painting and whatever else was needed to help one person get out of their FEMA trailer and back into a house.

It was a great time of fun fellowship and most important - WORK. I was glad that I could do something for someone down there.

Here is a picture of the house that we helped rebuild and the crew. If you look closely, you can still see the waterline on the house

There are lots of ways that you can help people of the gulf without driving 1200 miles!

You can write your congressman and tell them that maybe after 2 years 50,000 people should not still be living in camping trailers in front of their trashed houses.

You can buy something from some company in the gulf area - a Saints t-shirt, mardi-gras junk, bubba gump shrimp - whatever.

All that stuff helps too. These people are our fellow citizens and we need to remember that there are still a lot of Americans that are in need!
